Speel-Speel: A Celebration of Play

Play is a radical act,l it disrupts, liberates, and transforms. It’s the space where rules dissolve, creativity flourishes, and we remember what it means to move without constraint. Inspired by the 2025 Investec Cape Town Art Fair’s theme of ‘Play,’ Chommies created Speel-Speel—a collection that embraces the joy of spontaneity, the beauty of imperfection, and the power of play as a form of resistance.

In play, we find possibilities. We unlearn the serious, the static, and the expected. We loosen our grip, let colour and movement take over, and revel in the unplanned. This collection—featuring the adjustable collar, the everyday leash, and a limited-edition tote bag designed with Peet Pienaar—is an invitation to do just that.

We want you to love your Chommies purchase. If something isn't quite right, here’s our simple process:

Email Us Within 14 Days: Send an email to hello@chommies.com with your invoice/order number and the reason for your return.

Choose Your Resolution: We offer a refund (excluding shipping), store credit, or an exchange.

Send It Back: Items must be clean, unused, and in their original packaging with proof of purchase. You’re responsible for return shipping unless the product is faulty or incorrect.

We’ll Guide You: For returns within South Africa, you can drop off or courier the item to us. For international returns, we will provide you with the closest return address (UK, Germany, or USA).

For Faulty or Incorrect Items: We will cover the costs and make it right for you.

We offer a 6 month product warranty: Valid from the date of purchase providing you have proof of order or the original receipt.

Please note that custom-made or personalized items (like engraved tags) cannot be returned.
