We’re always on the lookout for Cape Town’s finest dogs & cats to model our handcrafted collars, leashes, and accessories in professional photoshoots. Being a Chommies dog/cat model isn’t just about good looks; it’s about personality, behaviour, and a sprinkle of star quality.

Here’s everything you need to know about applying and what it means to represent the Chommies brand.

How to Apply

If you’re a member of the Chommies Club, you can apply for your dog or cat to be a model by filling out this form. The form helps us understand your pup/cat’s unique charm and availability. Don’t worry if your dog/cat is’t chosen immediately - we have specific needs for each shoot, and your pet might be a perfect fit for a future campaign.

What We’re Looking For
To ensure a successful photoshoot, our models need to meet the following criteria:

• Well-behaved and sociable
  Your dog should be comfortable around people and other dogs, and able to follow basic commands. We don't expect cats to be sociable with other cats but they need to be comfortable around people.
• Cape Town-based
  Shoots take place in and around Cape Town, so being local is essential.
• Available for a few hours
  Shoots can last several hours, so your pup or cat needs to have the stamina to participate.
• Accompanied by their owner
  A familiar face (that’s you!) is required on set to keep your pet relaxed and happy. Owner also needs to be comfortable being part of the shoot/chaos.
• Unmodified appearance
  We celebrate natural beauty and won’t feature dogs with clipped ears, docked tails, or other modifications.

What Your Dog/Cat Gets in Return

As a token of appreciation for your dog/cat’s modelling talents, we’ll reward you with a stunning Chommies collar or leash of your choice. Additionally, you’ll receive all the professional photos taken during the shoot, perfect for keepsakes or showing off on social media.

Important Details

• Transportation to and from the shoot location is your responsibility.
• We’ll provide treats, water, and food (if necessary) to keep your pup/cat energised during the shoot.
• Chommies accepts no liability for any incidents involving your pet during the shoot. By participating, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your dog/cat’s behaviour and safety.
