Cheesy Almond Cookies for Dogs

It’s that time of the year when the smell of baking fills the home and dogs wait patiently for scraps of gammon at the table.

The Chommies team decided to do some Christmas baking to find our dogs' favourite cookie! The cheesy almond cookies were the most popular and, in the spirit of Christmas, we’d love to share the recipe with you.

Ingredients

50g raw almonds

100g grated cheddar cheese

100g chunky cottage cheese

200g whole wheat flour

1 tablespoon coconut oil

1 egg

Method

Preheat oven to 180° c.

In a food processor, combine all the ingredients and blitz together.

Once the dough comes together, put onto a floured surface, roll out with a rolling pin, and cut into shapes with festive cutters.

Bake for 15mins. Turn oven off and leave in the oven for another 15mins. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before treating your dog.
